Mr. Dinh Hong Ky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Secoin Joint Stock Company, stated that green manufacturing is understood as the optimization of the entire production process to minimize negative environmental impacts, from raw material inputs and operations to waste treatment and recycling. This includes the use of renewable energy, resource conservation, carbon emission reduction, and the development of circular economy models.
Many Vietnamese enterprises have moved from “awareness” to “action” by investing in modern technologies, improving production processes, and building environmental management systems that meet international standards. This is not only a necessary step to satisfy market requirements, but also helps businesses improve operational efficiency and reduce long-term costs.
A Driving Force for Greater Competitiveness
In reality, companies adopting green manufacturing practices are not only enhancing their brand image but also expanding export opportunities. Many major markets have introduced mechanisms such as carbon taxes and strict environmental standards, causing “non-green” products to gradually lose their competitive advantage.
