Restructuring the Construction Industry Toward Green and Digital Transformation
In 2026, the construction and building materials industry is entering a period of strong restructuring. Green transformation, technology adoption, and supply chain restructuring have become inevitable requirements.
The Ho Chi Minh City Construction and Building Materials Association (SACA) identifies “Sustainability” as the core value for its 9th term (2025–2030). With a comprehensive ecosystem ranging from construction, materials, and consulting to smart urban development, the Association is promoting synchronized solutions to reduce emissions, utilize environmentally friendly materials, and apply BIM, AI, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Businesses are shifting from scale-based growth to growth driven by productivity, technology, and ESG standards. Three key trends in 2026 include: investment in green materials and energy-saving technologies; accelerating digital transformation in management and operations; and strengthening cooperation across the value chain.
SACA will continue to promote internal collaboration and form specialized industry groups to enhance competitiveness.
