On November 9, 2023, Saigon Economic Magazine organized a talk show “ESG Practice – Direction for the Construction Materials Industry”. At the program, Secoin Chairman – Mr. Dinh Hong Ky gave a speech on the topic “ESG for the Construction and Construction Materials Industry”.
ESG has become a strategic and urgent global trend in production and business activities. In Vietnam, the ESG index is also an important factor that reflects the overall business picture of an enterprise and creates conditions to bring them to the world, towards sustainable goals.
Through the presentation “ESG for the Construction and Building Materials Industry”, Mr. Dinh Hong Ky – Chairman of Secoin, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Building Materials, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), Permanent Vice Chairman and General Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction and Building Materials (SACA) – in charge of sustainable development, presented thoughtful figures of the construction and building materials industry, an overview of ESG, benefits when businesses apply it and environmental factors to develop the circular construction industry. With practical experience at Secoin applying ESG, Chairman Dinh Hong Ky shared the difficulties, advantages, requirements from partners, customers and the current status of construction and building materials businesses applying ESG for sustainable development.
At the end of the presentation, attendees gained more useful knowledge to understand the roadmap and find solutions to apply to their businesses to work together towards green, circular construction, achieving the Net Zero goal.
