Major markets such as the EU, the United States, and Japan<\/strong> have introduced strict technical barriers on emissions and supply chain transparency\u2014through mechanisms like CBAM<\/strong> (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and ESG<\/strong> (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
This compels Vietnamese enterprises, if they wish to integrate more deeply into global value chains, to accelerate their green transformation.<\/p>\n

Ho Chi Minh City\u2019s Entrepreneurs: Quick to Adapt to Global Trends<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The entrepreneurial community of Ho Chi Minh City<\/strong> has demonstrated remarkable agility in adapting to this new paradigm.
Many local brands have developed internationally certified green products<\/strong>, participated in global exhibitions<\/strong>, and become trusted partners<\/strong> of major multinational corporations.
This marks an important leap that enhances not only the reputation of businesses from Ho Chi Minh City but also Vietnam\u2019s position on the global economic map<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They are not merely entrepreneurs\u2014they are architects of a sustainable future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fostering and Developing a Green Entrepreneurial Generation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To nurture and develop a generation of green entrepreneurs<\/strong>, Ho Chi Minh City<\/strong>\u2014the most dynamic economic center of the country\u2014needs to take the lead<\/strong> in formulating and completing policies that encourage green enterprises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The city should propose specific incentive mechanisms<\/strong> for businesses investing in clean technologies<\/strong>, environmentally friendly materials<\/strong>, or circular economy models<\/strong>;
and give priority in bidding and licensing<\/strong> to projects meeting green standards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This will be an effective way to encourage Ho Chi Minh City enterprises<\/strong>\u2014which have always been pioneers in innovation\u2014to become the locomotive<\/strong> leading the nation\u2019s green transition.<\/p>\n

\n

Establishing a National Green Data Infrastructure<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At the same time, developing a national green data infrastructure<\/strong> is an indispensable condition for enterprises to demonstrate and affirm the value<\/strong> of their products.<\/p>\n

Given its characteristics as a hub for manufacturing, services, and exports<\/strong>, Ho Chi Minh City\u2019s businesses need an EPD\/LCI data center<\/strong> (Environmental Product Declaration \/ Life Cycle Inventory)
to publish and standardize environmental data<\/strong>, thereby laying the foundation for meeting international standards<\/strong>, expanding markets, and deepening integration into global supply chains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Green Finance \u2013 A Key Driver for Transformation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Green finance<\/strong> is also a key factor<\/strong> in promoting this transition.
Ho Chi Minh City can become a testing ground and model<\/strong> for green credit funds<\/strong>, green bonds<\/strong>, or credit guarantee mechanisms<\/strong> targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)<\/strong> \u2014
the group currently facing the greatest pressure when it comes to investing in technological renewal.<\/p>\n

When financial resources are \u201cgreened\u201d<\/strong>, enterprises will have the confidence and capacity<\/strong> to pursue sustainable development without being left behind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Investing in Education and Capacity Building<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In parallel, investment must be made in training and improving the capacity of entrepreneurs<\/strong>, especially the young generation of leaders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a center that gathers dynamic and creative businesspeople<\/strong>, Ho Chi Minh City should soon implement training programs<\/strong> on ESG<\/strong>, sustainability management<\/strong>, and international standards<\/strong>,
helping entrepreneurs gain the knowledge and courage<\/strong> to lead their businesses in adapting to global trends.<\/p>\n

Promoting the Image of Green Entrepreneurs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Finally, communication and the promotion of green entrepreneur role models<\/strong> should become an integral part of the city\u2019s development strategy.<\/p>\n

As the birthplace of many innovation movements, Ho Chi Minh City<\/strong> should continue to honor and highlight<\/strong> entrepreneurs who have succeeded through the path of sustainable development<\/strong>.
They will become inspirational examples<\/strong> for the broader business community\u2014helping to form a new generation of Ho Chi Minh City entrepreneurs<\/strong> who are dynamic, responsible, and committed to a green future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
