On the morning of July 31<\/strong>, Mr. \u0110inh H\u1ed3ng K\u1ef3 \u2013 Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Association (HGBA)<\/strong> \u2013 delivered a talk on the Challenges of Green Transition<\/strong> at the Green Transition Forum and Recycling Festival 2025<\/em>, organized by the High-Quality Vietnamese Products Business Association (HVNCLC)<\/strong>, the BSA Center<\/strong>, and the HVNCLC Program<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He noted that while the VUCA world<\/strong> allowed business leaders to \u201cpredict and exert some degree of control,\u201d the BANI era<\/strong> (Brittle \u2013 Anxious \u2013 Nonlinear \u2013 Incomprehensible) denies businesses that opportunity. Long-term plans\u2014once a source of confidence for many executives\u2014now risk becoming a \u201cdangerous legacy\u201d if they lack flexibility and the ability to pivot quickly.<\/p>\n

At the same time, strict international regulations such as CBAM, ESG standards, emission requirements, and supply chain transparency rules<\/strong> are being enforced in markets like the EU, the US, and Japan\u2014creating a \u201clife-or-death boundary\u201d for Vietnamese businesses.<\/p>\n

In response to this reality, Mr. \u0110inh H\u1ed3ng K\u1ef3 recommended that businesses must recognize that green transition cannot be approached as small, incremental adjustments.
